The Grammy-nominated Chicago Chamber Musicians gives musical voice to the life-changing experiences of three great composers in the ensemble's subscription series season finale.  Beethoven's magnificent trio was completed fresh from his first triumphs in Vienna, Schoenberg wrote his explosive work after suffering a near fatal heart attack, and upon Brahms' completion of his Agathe Sextet he wrote, "Here I have freed myself from my last love."

In its final concert of the 2007-2008 season, the Chicago Sinfonietta examines the Blues in its different variations. John Primer, guitarist in the legendary Muddy Waters' band, will join the Sinfonietta on the World Premiere of a composition based on his songs, while pianist Leon Bates performs Gershwin. In the second half, we welcome back Adler Planetarium astronomer and video artist José Francisco Salgado for our second multimedia extravaganza set to Pictures at an Exhibition.
