Sixty of the Chicago area's finest professional musicians make up the chorus
and orchestra of Music of the Baroque. Many have played and sung for years
with the ensemble. The opportunity to perform early repertoire at a very
high artistic level with fellow fine musicians keeps ensemble members coming
back concert after concert. Currently presenting its 37th concert season, Music of the Baroque will perform 17 concerts of seven different programs;most are in Evanston and at Harris Theater in Millennium Park. Acclaimed conductor Jane Glover was named Music Director in September 2002; Nicholas Kraemer is the ensemble's Principal Guest Conductor.
