St. Charles Singers, now in its 25th year, originated in 1984. What began as a twelve-voice ensemble has grown into a thirty-four-voice choir and has a repertoire comprising about 650 works. Under the artistic direction and leadership of founder Jeffrey Hunt, the St. Charles Singers is one of America’s preeminent professional choral groups. The choir has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and conductor James Conlon at Ravinia and with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra under conductor Robert Hanson. The choir has produced three CDs including a May 2008 release of Copland’s American Songs with the ESO.
