Join guest conductor Victor Yampolsky for this fascinating exploration of Mozart from two extremes: the light face of his "Prague" Symphony and the dark, reverent, Requiem Mass. Making his second appearance with the IPO, Yampolsky has guest conducted throughout the United States and abroad. He is the Director of Orchestras at Northwestern University, Music Director Emeritus and Principal Guest Conductor of the Omaha Symphony Orchestra, and Music Director of the Peninsula Music Festival. A tour de force of the orchestral repertoire, the Requiem Mass was left unfinished on Mozart's deathbed and later completed by his pupils. The South Suburban Chorale (Al Jackson, Director), and a quartet of outstanding talent from Northwestern University breathe life into this intense tribute to the composer's death.
