CCM's Sounds and Spaces concerts take beautiful music to architecturally significant spaces.

At the October 10 concert, innovative music merges with iconic modern architecture at Robie House, one of the greatest examples of Frank Lloyd Wright's influential Prairie design.

Sounds
Innovative String Quartets
Organic, sweeping spaces and elegant art glass offer a striking backdrop to works by groundbreaking composers: Stravinsky’s progressive Three Pieces for String Quartet; Barber’s lush and timeless String Quartet, Op. 11; John Adams’s inventive and humorous John’s Book of Alleged Dances.

Spaces
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House has been described as “one of the seven most notable residences ever built in America” (Architectural Record). This American masterpiece is undergoing a meticulous restoration to return the home to its exquisite original condition. Celebrate the centennial anniversary of Wright’s icon of modern architecture with this Sounds and Spaces concert.

CCM artists performing include: Joseph Genualdi, violin; Jasmine Lin, violin; Rami Solomonow, viola; Stephen Balderston, principal guest cello
