Chicago Composers Orchestra Winter Concert
Chicago Composers Orchestra presents the second concert in its inaugural season on Friday, January 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Roosevelt University’s Ganz Hall located at 430 S. Michigan Avenue. The Winter Concert features the Midwest premiere of a piece by Andrea Clearfield, recipient of the American Academy in Rome Fellowship from the American Composers Forum.

WHY:
Dedicated to the performance of orchestral music by living and contemporary composers, Chicago Composers Orchestra has assembled 40 of the city’s finest classical musicians. At the Winter Concert, CCO presents the Midwest premiere of Andrea Clearfield’s “Romanza,” featuring violin soloist Elina Lev (Associate Concertmaster of the Charlotte Symphony), as well as the world premieres of two works by Chicago area composers, and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings.”
