A Nationally recognized high school ensemble, Glenbrook Symphony Orchestra is playing their annual Spring concert at 7:30PM on March 23rd 2011 at the  Sheely Center for Performing Arts, Northbrook Illinois.

Admission is free, and a reception will follow after the concert.

The major works include

- "The Gadfly" by Dmitri Shostakovich (Rarely heard masterpiece)
- Oriental Festival March from "Aladdin"  by Carl Nielsen

The other works include three concertos,

-  Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3
-  Elgar Cello Concerto
-  Vivaldi Oboe Concerto

Performed by the winners of the Concerto Competition.
