How Do I Submit an Event on the Calendar?
-Log-in
-Under the User Forum tab, click on Create Content
-Click on Event
-Enter all of the relevant information (check to make sure the time of the event is correct, all times need to be entered in military time, they will be displayed in the standard 12 hour format)
-Click Submit
How Do I Submit a Blog Entry?
-Log-in
-Under the User Forum tab, click on Create Content
-Click on Blog
-Enter all of the relevant information
-Click Submit
How Do I create a Teaser?
-After entering your blog into the main body section, you may want to create a teaser
-Simply enter the first paragraph of your entry into the "teaser or summary box" (this will be in addition to the body box)
-Make sure the links and pictures are in the exact same spot as the original blog entry
-Click submit
How Do I create a Link in my Blog Entry?
To create a link:
-Highlight the text you want linked to a specific page
-Click on the linked chain icon, a box will pop up (allow pop ups if you have a pop up blocker active)
-In the "Link URL" line," type in/copy and paste the full website address i.e. http://www.chicagoclassicalmusic.org
-In the "Target" line, click the drop down menu and select "Open in a New Window"
-Click Submit
How Do I Add a Picture to my Blog?
To add an image:
-Place the cursor on the area of text you want the image to sit
-Click on the tree icon
-Click on the box icon on the top right of the box (this will allow you to upload an image from your computer)
-A new box will appear, click "Browse" to find the file and once it is chosen, click "Upload File"
-Find the newly uploaded picture and click "Add" on the appropriate line
-Align the image to where you would like it (left, center, right, etc.)
-Click Submit
-Once the image is among the text, you may move it slightly up or down to your liking
Important Note: whenever entering text into the body section {whether it be for the event calendar, blog etc} it is strongly recommended to type/format written content in notepad. Next, copy and paste the text into the body box on the ChicagoClassicalMusic.org template.
It is extremely difficult to format text by writing directly into the box template. Also, there is no save mode or any way to go back if you make a mistake - everything will be lost, so make sure you save your work.
