Hey everyone, my name is Braden LuBell, and I'm directing a play I wrote at the Bailiwick for their Directors Fest. It is not a musical or opera, but I am hoping to incorporate a live musician (or several) into the piece to highlight the fluid and lyrical aspects of the show. We have a stellar cast, and even from the first week of rehearsals we can tell it's going to be a powerful, beautiful production.
I am looking for someone who can play the cello, or maybe the violin or viola, to come and either improvise or experiment with pre-written music during some rehearsals (in May) for our transitions and more movement based sections, and then play for the show. The performances are June 2, 3, and 4 at the Bailiwick on the Mainstage.
I'm funding most of the project myself, so I can really only afford to give you about $50 for the whole thing. This would really be more for the collaborative experience - the chance to help make worthwhile art and create something beautiful with others.
If you're interested, or you want to know more about me, or you'd like to look at the script, please email me at bradenlubell@hotmail.com . I'll get back to you quickly. You can also cyberstalk me at www.myspace.com/mercurialdays or I'm on facebook. (I don't check either of those as often as my email, so if you're going to write me, email's the way to go.)
I hope to hear from you soon.
