Sergei Babayan, pianoCurrently Artist-in-Residence at The Cleveland Institute of Music, Armenian pianist Sergei Babayan is hailed as one of the modern masters of today's concert stage. Within a span of three years from his arrival in the U.S., he took first prize in four top international competitions, including the 1989 Robert Casadesus International Piano Competition. Babayan has performed throughout Europe, Russia, and Japan, and has appeared with many of the world’s distinguished orchestras and ensembles. Highly regarded for his thoughtful and provocative programs, Mr. Babayan’s recital will include Rameau’s Suite in a minor from "Nouvelles Suites de Pièces de Clavecin.”
